The peasants of Pontremoli have a peaceful time now - their
work on the fields goes on like a dance.

Many battles and retreats in northern regions.
A genoese fleet is destroyed.
Ducat Expenditures seen on the map:
Nothing.
Military Operations:
FRANCE: Lyon --> Schweitz, fails. Avignon -->
Provence. Savoy --> Saluzzo. Aosta --> Savoy. Nizza (G) didn't get any
orders, thus it holds.
GENOVA: Nizza --> Mer de Toulon, fails although
Ajaccio tries to support. Asti --> Nizza, fails
although Ventimiglia supports (a friendly unit may not be attacked).
Genova (G) holds.
MILANO: Schweitz holds. Torino holds, Pavia supports.
Cremona --> Parma, Bergamo --> Cremona, Brescia --> Verona,
fails although Mantova tries to support.
AUSTRIA: Friuli --> Treviso, fails. Trieste -->
Friuli, fails. Kärnten --> Vicenza, Trento
supports. Steiermark --> Krain. Ungarn holds. Tirol gives support into
Schweiz, but there are no austrian troops around (the Kaiser did not
mention anybody who would get the support).
VENEZIA: Padova --> Mantova (succeeds because the independent
garrison gives support - once again), Verona --> Brescia,
fails. Vicenza --> Trento, fails.
Treviso --> Friuli, fails. Lagoon tries to hold,
fails.
DALMAZIA: Fiume --> Istria, Croazia --> Fiume, Spalato --> Croazia,
Zara conv. fleet. Ragusa besieges the second period, putting
off the rebellion.
FERRARA: Massa and San Marino besiege the second period, conquering
the cities. Modena and Prato support correspondingly. Pistoia -->
Firenze, fails. Ferrara supports the Pope onto
Laguna. The army in Pisa tries to convert into a fleet. This
fails because the troops haven't got the necessary
equipment and refreshment, which are available only within city walls
(probably duke Borso just forgot that a straight conversion
from an army into a navy is not possible, but the judge has decided to
keep a strict discipline when interpreting the orders).
STATO DELLA CHIESA: Firenze holds. Siena besieges the second period,
conquering the city. Perugia supports. Adr. Sup. --> Laguna Veneta.
Ancona --> Adr. Sup. Spoleto --> Ancona, Capua --> Spoleto with Urbino
supporting. Tivoli --> Patrimony.
NAPOLI: Aquila --> Capua, Napoli supports. Adr. Cent --> Aquila, Bari
and Salerno (A) support. Salerno (G) holds. Adr. Inf --> Adr. Cent.
Albania --> Durazzo.
SIZILIA: Mar Ionio --> Gabes. Durazzo --> Mar Ionio. Messina -->
Golfo di Napoli. Bastia --> Ajaccio, Mar Ligure supports. Mer de Toulon
--> Sassari, fails. Tirr. Occ. --> Sassari,
fails.
Retreat Phase:
The genoese fleet in Ajaccio has to retreat, but there is no
vacant place, so it is destroyed (Sassari is not available; the two
sicilian fleets block each other out there, but that prevents a retreat,
too; also the rebellion gives no support in a retreat).
The milanese army in Mantova retreats into Reggio.
The venetian army in Vicenza retreats into Padova.
The venetian fleet in Laguna retreats into the island of Venezia.
Rebellions continue in Sassari, Gabes and Patrimony.
