Some wild rumours have now turned out to be unfounded. What has really happened is that the Strozzi family in Florence has managed to persuade the Florentian army to turn independent!

Ragusa unites with Dalmatia.

An official complainment 
We, the residents of Schweitz, are extremely unhappy because of the heavy traffic
that has been troubling our peaceful valleys and turned the milk of our cows sour.
Crowds of rude and black-cloaked horsemen with heavy bags full of messages rush
along our idyllic roads and cause a severe danger of fatal accidents every day.
They don't even have time to stop for a decent meal in any of our beautiful villages
and so they don't leave any currency to our innkeepers either. If this is going
to continue we have to consider some counteractions, like closing our borders
leading to the Valley of Aosta, Como and Tirol thus preventing the unwelcomed 
intruders to enter our peaceful province.
